The need today
Hunger in Gaza is far from over.
Humanitarian assistance remains essential for families across Gaza. For people living in tents and temporary shelters, finding food is only part of the challenge; preparing it can require fuel, clean water, equipment and a safe place to cook.

Meet Hayam, 13

Hayam lost her father and now helps her mother care for their family while living in a tent in Gaza. At just 13, she prepares whatever food they can find.
“I try to prepare food with whatever we have in our tent. If we receive food from organizations, we eat. If we don’t, we don’t eat.”
For Hayam, a hot meal means her family can simply sit down and eat.
