In a significant step towards supporting academic excellence, the International Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (IESCO) in Malaysia in Cooperation with the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait IICO have celebrated of a new project.
The project, under the guidance and financial support of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in the State of Kuwait, provides a substantial boost to educational opportunities. It sponsors tuition fees for 38 expatriate students hailing from 16 different Arab and Islamic nations.
Distinguished Attendees at the Event
The launch ceremony saw the presence of several dignitaries. Among them were Dr. Hamad Muhammad Hassan Burhama, representing the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Malaysia, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Falah, and notable academic figures such as Dr. Muhammad Zain Qandar, Chairman of ISCO, and Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli Abdul Razzaq, President of the International Islamic University.
Highlighting the Project’s Significance
Dr. Daoud Al-Hadabi addressed the audience, emphasizing the project’s importance in aiding academically gifted students. These students are seen as potential future leaders, especially significant as many come from regions afflicted by conflict and poverty.
IESCO’s Role in Educational Advancement
Dr. Muhammad Zain Qandar shed light on IESCO’s endeavors to fulfill the educational needs and aspirations of young learners. He pointed out IESCO’s effective networking and partnerships with various governmental and institutional bodies, particularly in Kuwait, to implement several quality educational and research projects.
Gratitude and Ambitions for Expansion
Dr. Mahmoud Shaqfeh, CEO of IESCO, extended his gratitude to the State of Kuwait, its government, and people, particularly acknowledging the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Malaysia and the International Islamic Charitable Organization. He expressed commitment to continuing and expanding the project.
More Than Just Tuition Support
The project goes beyond tuition fee assistance. It includes financial aid, training, and qualification programs aimed at enhancing students’ skills, leadership qualities, and ethical values, preparing them to be valuable assets to their home countries upon their return.
Acknowledgements from Kuwaiti Representatives
Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Falah, on behalf of the Kuwaiti Ambassador, praised the project for its significant impact on expatriate students’ education. He also lauded IESCO’s collaborative efforts with Kuwaiti institutions.
Eng. Bader Al-Summit, Director-General of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait, expressed satisfaction with the project’s success and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to ongoing collaboration with IESCO.

Datuk Zulkifli Abdul Razzaq stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to support students in Malaysia. He pledged to assist IESCO in enhancing the educational, cultural, and academic landscape.
